Q: Why haven't you published [insert book] yet?
A: As much as I love writing and publishing, it is very time-consuming, and a lot of money goes into each book. If certain books aren't performing well or I receive a lot of negative criticism for my decisions, sometimes I change my plans. (By criticism, I'm referring to people getting mad if a character is gay, etc. People are free to hate my books if they want, but sending me mean messages is not okay.) Sometimes, it's best for business to move on for the time being, and sometimes, my heart just isn't in it and it needs some time away. I have some books I still want to write, but I know, they need more time to marinate in my brain.

Q: Are you still writing/publishing contemporary books?
A: Ultimately, yes! But it may be a while. I've wanted to write paranormal/fantasy ever since I started writing, but I felt like I wasn't ready for it yet. I was too scared. So I wrote the other genre I loved - YA contemporary. I'm finally ready to branch out into paranormal, and I'm super excited. I've decided to make my contemporary books more of a fun/hobby type of writing, and I'll still publish as a side hustle/for my readers. However, I'm going all in on this new endeavor for my career, so contemporary books will be sporadic, with no set release date.

Q: Why aren't all your books on Wattpad?
A: I write and publish books as my job. It's how I make my living. I'm forever grateful to my husband for picking up the slack while I chase this dream, but at the end of the day, we still have bills to pay, and this is how I contribute financially to our household. Plus, I hold a firm belief that all creators and artists deserve to be paid for their art.

Q: Are you ever going to republish Kids in Love?
A: No. That novella got me more hate than I ever imagined, and I made a lot of mistakes with it. So no. Lol. I may take some of the scenes and rework them into another book, with new characters, etc., (and a disclaimer so no one feels tricked) because I hate for 31,000 words to go to waste, but it will never be that book again. That was a dumpster fire of a hard lesson learned!
